Asa Vermette Asa Vermette (born January 24, 2007) is an American professional downhill mountain bike racer from Durango, Colorado. He gained international recognition after winning the 2024 UCI Junior Men's Downhill World Championship and has been regarded as one of the most promising young talents in the sport. USA Cycling

Early Life Vermette was born and raised in Durango, Colorado. He began riding a balance bike at the age of two and transitioned to motocross by four. His parents, Josh and Jonelle, introduced him to various forms of cycling, including BMX and mountain biking. Career In 2023, Vermette turned professional and joined Frameworks Racing, a team founded by World Cup racer Neko Mulally.
